Chatroulette users were invited to play a live-action, first-person shooter zombie game.

The video -- which has already been viewed almost 1.5 million times -- shows unsuspecting Chatroulette users controlling the actions of a real-action, first-person-perspective video game protagonist. The environment boasts zombies, real-time sound effects, shotguns, crowbars, button-prompts, and turrets.

"We created a live action first-person zombie shooter in our garden -- then invited unsuspecting people on Chatroulette, Omegle and Skype," states the description on the RealmPictures YouTube page.

One participant even attempts to take out an innocent civilian washing his car outside of the in-game environment, only to be told by the Snake-soundalike protagonist, "Uh, yeah, I don't think he knows what's going on".

You can find out more in a behind-the-scenes video also on the channel.

While we're on the subject of zombies, now that Capcom is working on an official Resident Evil 2 remake, popular fan project Resident Evil 2 Reborn has been cancelled at Capcom's request. Invader Games expressed happiness that its fan remake was among the community efforts that encouraged Capcom to consider taking on a Resident Evil 2 remake in the first place.

Stay tuned to IGN for more Resident Evil news as development on the official Resident Evil 2 remake begins.
