DC Studios' co-CEOs James Gunn and Peter Safran have begun work on an eight to ten year plan for DC films, TV shows, animation, and more.

As reported by The Hollywood Reporter, Gunn said during a company meeting that he and Safran had been working with "some of the best thinkers in the industry" to craft a decade-long plan for upcoming entertainment involving Batman, Superman, and other DC characters.

"The opportunity to make DC as great as it can be, and as it should be, that is the reason why I’m doing this job, because I know that Peter and I can do that," Gunn said.

"We spent the past couple days with a group of some of the best thinkers in the industry, the best writers in the industry, starting to map out that eight to ten year plan of what it’s going to look like in theatre, in TV, in animation, across the board for these characters."

The pair are certainly moving fast given they were only appointed as the new heads of DC Studios on November 1, and the comic book entertainment company appears to have found its Kevin Feige-like leaders given the extensive plan already being put together.

Gunn previously said he'd be focusing on building "the new DCU" instead of looking at cancelled or past projects such as Legends of Tomorrow or the original Suicide Squad cut, and his appointment as co-CEO has been approved by several leading DC actors.

Aquaman's Jason Momoa said it's a dream come true to be working under Gunn and Safran, while Superman's Henry Cavill said he's looking forward to sitting down and having "long, long conversations with [Gunn]".
