Twitter/X owner Elon Musk has said his fight against Meta/Facebook's Mark Zuckerberg is still on and that it will be live-streamed on X for all to see. Zuckerberg, however, responded that he wasn't so sure that's true.

Musk took to X to share the update, saying, "Zuck v Musk fight will be live-streamed on X. All proceeds will go to charity for veterans.

Musk talked a bit more about the fight on X, saying, "if the fight is short, I probably win. If long, he may win on endurance. I am much bigger and there is a reason MMA has weight divisions."

Daniella Souza asked Musk on X what the point of this fight was, and Musk responded that "it's a civilized form of war. Men love war."

Zuckerberg took to Threads to respond to Musk's posts, saying, "I'm ready today. I suggested Aug 26 when he first challenged, be he hasn't confirmed. Not holding my breath."

Threads user wongmjane then asked if this fight was "mutually agreed upon," to which Zuckerberg responded, "more like 'funding secured.'"

Zuckerberg also questioned the whole charity aspect of the event, saying, "shouldn't we use a more reliable platform that can actually raise money for charity?"

The idea for this potential fight dates back to June, right after Zuckerberg had a medal-winning performance at a Brazilian jiu-jitsu tournament.

"I'm up for a cage match if he is lol," Musk said in a Twitter thread about Zuckerberg's match.

Zuckerberg chose to respond on Instagram instead of Twitter with a screenshot of Musk's tweet and the words, "Send Me Location."

This is yet another update to the ongoing saga of Musk's Twitter takeover, and follows his decision to rebrand the company as X and get rid of that iconic bird.
